Brief info
André started his career as a helicopter pilot in the South African Air Force and after 25 years service started flying commercially doing offshore flights to the oil rigs off the Canadian east coast in Newfoundland. He has over 7000 flight hours.
Flying and sailing, his two loves, go hand in hand; he is as comfortable at the helm as he is at the controls of his aircraft. He has over 30 000 sea miles accumulated off the South African coast, Atlantic crossing and sailing the Caribbean and East Coast of Florida.
He has a Master of Yachts Offshore 200 gross tonne commercial rating, STCW and First Aid. Andre loves sharing his knowledge of sailing and is a patient, thorough teacher if you want to learn the basics while aboard.
